HORSE RIDING, cycling and the chance to try the hovercraft are all being offered for Disabled Access Day.

Accessible activities are lined up across the Isle of Wight for Saturday, March 16.

Isle Access is hosting a disabled access day at The Island Riding Centre just outside Newport, from 10am to 3pm.

There will be horse riding, archery, a climbing wall and accessible cycling with IW Wheels For All.

There will also be a raffle and refreshments.

For more information, and to book for cycling email info@isleaccess.co.uk.

Hovertravel is offering 'try before you fly' sessions and giving the opportunity for disabled people to meet the staff, crew and pilots of Hovertravel, while being hosted by the HoverCare Ambassadors.

The experience has been designed to help customers get the best insight for any future visits and Hovertravel is encouraging visitors to bring their friends and family along too, to try out the hovercraft access and learn about their HoverCare services.

Loretta Lale, head of commercial at Hovertravel, said: "The hovercraft will be open for visitors at both Ryde and Southsea. It is also a great opportunity to share your experiences with our staff so we can further enhance our services, ensuring we are helping all to travel more easily."

The hovercraft will be open at Ryde from 10am to 11.30am.

All visitors will be given a free ticket for two people and be issued with a HoverCare card.

Space is limited, so register at www.hovertravel.co.uk/HoverCare-Concessionary-Travel-Scheme/index.php.
