CARISBROOKE Road in Newport will close this afternoon (Monday) for emergency sewer repairs.
The busy Newport road is due to close from its junction with Bedford Row to its junction with Trafalgar Road for 179 metres.
Dyno-Rod engineers will be carrying out emergency works to a sewer connection in the road.
The closure is likely to affect traffic coming out of Newport and bus services to the West Wight.
The closure will take affect from 6.30pm this evening.
Diversions will be signposted.
