TWO generations of the Yarmouth RNLI attended a fundraiser at the town's Bugle Coaching Inn to help raise more than £1,000 for the charity.

Mechanic Richard Pimm, his brother Alex and father Stuart, a former crew member, were there to support the pie night event.

Chair of Yarmouth RNLI fundraising, Debbie Cotton, said: "It was a fantastic evening with live music from Cadillac and there were nearly 100 tickets sold for the meals with £5 from each donated to the lifeboat.

"The event, including the raffle, raised a whopping £1,082.

"Many of the lifeboat crew were in attendance and with the two generations of the Pimms.

"It was a really incredible community get-together and we are very grateful to landlord John Russell, Claire Woodrow and chef Marcus Dorow, and their fantastic team, who made everyone so welcome and the evening such a success.

"We also had a fantastic raffle with a weekend's camping pass to the Bestival donated by Rob da Bank; £75 voucher from Character Inns and a micro light flight by Sandown Airport with lots of other prizes from local companies."

Lucky winner of the camping pass was Marina Rogers.
