From Eileen MacInnes and family, Brighstone:
We wish to thank most sincerely the medical team at Brighstone Surgery, the paramedics on the Island, the A&E department of St. Mary’s, Newport, and Southampton General neurological department.
Each were unstinting in their care and attention not only to my husband, Donald John MacInnes, but to us as a family. It was an enormous comfort to witness such dignity and respect shown to my husband during his final eight days in neuro ward D at Southampton General. So touched was our granddaughter that she changed careers ‘to give to others what was given to us’.
She is now doing a nursing degree. To quote Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, will forget what you did but never forget how they made you feel”.
