SIXTIES legends The Zombies, electro dance pioneers The Orb and festival favourites Tankus the Henge will play the Rhythmtree Festival this summer.

The popular event, now in its ninth year, takes place at Three Gates Farm, Shalfleet, between July 12 and 14.

Organisers today (Monday) announced The Orb would perform a selection of classic material, so festivalgoers can relax and enjoy the Little Fluffy Clouds at the picturesque site.

The Zombies' hits include She's Not There and Time of the Season. Founder members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent have also promised the set will include solo hits including God Gave Rock and Roll to You, so expect a Sunday sing along.

Tankus the Henge will host their own show, with special guests, on the Woodland Stage, and the Didg Cafe will feature performances by Levellers frontman Mark Chadwick.

The festival lineup also includes Misty in Roots, Natty and The Rebelship, Los De Abajo and The Sambruso All Stars, who will be playing the Buena Vista Social Club album in full.

Don't miss the Spooky Men’s Chorale and their hilarious acapella set and SC4M promoters, who will return to the Little Woods stage with a show featuring, among others, singer songwriter Peter Bruntnell.

Rhythmtree Festival boasts more than 120 acts across six stages, with free camping and parking, kids' activities and local food and drink.

Limited earlybird tickets will be available until March 10.

Tickets are available online at www.rhythmtree.co.uk or at Caffe Isola, St James Street, Newport.
