Woman hit by car on Lugley Street, Newport
A WOMAN has been hit by a car on Lugley Street, Newport, this afternoon (Tuesday).
An ambulance was called to the scene and police have been called.
The woman has suffered minor injuries following the incident at the junction to Lower St James Street.
Traffic is backed up on St James Street and Southern Vectis has reported delays on its Route 1 Newport to Cowes service.
UPDATE: The ambulance service and police are at the scene.
Traffic has cleared on the town centre road.
UPDATE: Lugley Street is now clear and buses will return to normal line of route.
