TOURING theatre company, Up The Road Theatre, well perform their newest production Peril at Sea at the Quay Arts next month.

Peril at Sea weaves together seafaring and maritime stories, including tales and myths of shipwrecks, smuggling and rescue missions.

For the past year, the company have visited sites and museums across the country to gather materials for the play.

Nicola Pollard, director of Peril at Sea and founder of Up The Road Theatre, said: "We’re thrilled to be taking Peril at Sea out on the road. The subject matter has been exciting to explore – we’re based on the Kent coast so the sea is incredibly prevalent for us and it’s fantastic learning about the history of our coastal communities."

The small-scale, intimate performance will be on at the Quay Arts Centre, Newport, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door and are available from http://www.quayarts.org/event/peril-at-sea/.
