From Richard Downing, Ventnor:

The Isle of Wight Council decided to remove its bottle banks a while ago.

There  were three in Ventnor where I live and I would make use of them all.

I find supermarkets, with large car parks, do not always have bottle banks.

We make use of Lidl, in Shanklin, which has no bottle bank and nor does Aldi, in Lake.

On the few occasions I have gone to Newport Asda I have not found a bottle bank there, whereas the Morrisons in Lake, despite its refurbishment and expansion work, has a bottle bank that I occasionally use.

The re-cycling Amey collects every two weeks puts all bottles, no matter what colour glass, into one container and I wonder what use can be made of that mixture of broken glass?

Can we please have more bottle banks in supermarket car parks, even making it part of planning permission consent?
