STUDENTS from the Isle of Wight Studio School visited Liz Earle Beauty Company to explore the science behind bath bombs.
The students, who are studying for a CREST Award (creativity in science and technology), gained hands on experience by developing, testing and manufacturing a range of bath bombs.
Liz Earle staff gave them a presentation to explain the product development cycle from conception to sale.
Students were enthused by the experience, which supported classroom learning in both science and business.
Jack Myles, 16, said: “I got lots of ideas on how to improve my product, for example the thought that goes into packaging."
Dani Jefford, 15, said: “It helped me with my business studies as it furthered my knowledge of how a real business worked, for example how the needs of their target market are identified."
