AN ISLAND musician who recently featured on Later... With Jools Holland returns to the Isle of Wight next week for a home gig.
Chalkpit promotions will present the alt-indie phenomenon, Another Sky, at Strings Bar and Venue next Sunday, February 24.
The Island date has been announced as a new addition to the band's lengthy tour and will be an exciting show for Jack Gilbert, originally of Cowes, who studied at Platform One.
Jack said: "We played the Black Sheep Bar on the Island a few years ago under a different name and it was one of our most memorable gigs.
"We can't wait to come back with a bigger live show to play for the Islanders again."
Another Sky have made a name for themselves in the music industry this year, situating their haunting, androgynous sound as one unparalleled by any other rising band and landing a slot on Later With Jools Holland — a prestigious TV programme which showcases up and coming music.
Silas Gregory, from Chalkpit Records, said: "I am thrilled to be able to secure Another Sky for an Isle of Wight show.
"It's great to see former Island resident Jack Gilbert making a name for himself in the industry and Another Sky are a band destined for big things.
"It's going to be an incredible sow that you're not going to want to miss."
