POLICE were called to a scene in Freshwater last night (Monday) after a smoke grenade was placed in someone's letterbox.
A spokesperson from Isle of Wight Police confirmed they were called to the scene at Sunset Close at 9.05pm yesterday.
A 53-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.
This morning, fire crews and the Ambulance Service were called to the same close to assist a man with 'substance in his face'.
