A WOMAN who has raised more than £8,000 for Mountbatten by selling soft toys, has handed over another cheque.

Jane Page donated a further £500 last month, and said she was kept busy during January collecting, washing and mending the cuddly toys.

She said: "I used to have to buy cheaply and ask friends and family to help, but now I have a constant supply. I've got about 500 soft toys at the moment, stored all over the place — mostly in the attic bedroom.

"The Mountbatten Hospice gave me a big bear and that is currently living in the boot of my car, waiting for a new home. So I would like to say a big thank you to all who donate and purchase these toys."
