POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was abandoned in Newport yesterday (Wednesday).
Officers would like to speak to two women who were walking along Angelica Road, at around 2.30pm.
In a statement, Isle of Wight police said: "We believe they may have seen a black Mazda 3 driving through the Pan Meadows area.
"The car was abandoned on the road."
People who saw the car are asked to call 101, quoting 44759.
