IT'S TIME to party likes its 1977 at Quay Arts as the PUNK exhibition comes to a stomping end.

Some of our readers might remember '77 – but for those who don't – it was the very year Iggy Pop's seminal album, Lust For Life was released. As well as the Sex Pistol's infamous, Never Mind The Bollocks, and The Clash's self titled debut album too.

Isle of Wight punk band, X-Directory will be performing live, plus there'll be punk poetry readings in the gallery read by Adam Gaterell and Arnold P. Fetid.

It's hoped to be a busy night in front of the many punk artefacts and artworks.

A portrait of our glorious leader, Theresa May, wearing a crown, will be looking down on proceedings – who knows what she'll make of it.

The event runs from 7.30pm until 11.30pm on Saturday (February 9) and is £5 to enter at the Quay Arts Cafe, Newport.

Guests are advised to dress to impress and wear their best 'punk clobber'.
