THE WIGHT KNIGHT – the Isle of Wight's first real life superhero – has made his television debut, here's how Twitter reacted.

The masked superhero, a former security guard from Newport who wishes to remain incognito, made his TV debut today (Tuesday) on ITV's This Morning Programme with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Twitter speculated to who the hero could be, guessing he could either be Isle of Wight musician Derek Sandy or famed author David Icke who lives in Ryde.

Fun was especially poked at Phillip's facial expressions, the moment Phillip hears the Wight Knight has been called a 'Poundland Power Ranger' is certainly one to watch in the full interview below:

The million dollar question was repeatedly asked:

For the last time it's not Alex Watts!

More like why not?

Banter.

Tracy, we are dying to know.

I'll admit it, I'm a Wight Knighty.

Conspiracy theories were abundant.

Bless his plastic shielded heart.

He's not Uber Eats, mate.

Whoever you are Wight Knight,  godspeed.
