TWO crews of firefighters were called out to St Mary's Hospital this afternoon (Monday).
Having just returned to station from a fire in Cranmore, a crew from East Cowes Fire Station and a crew from Newport were called out following a fire alarm at the hospital.
However, after carrying out checks at the hospital, it turned out to be a false alarm, a spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Service said.
The crews have now left the scene.
