TIS the season to spread some festive cheer by joining the jolly Jingle Bell Walk through Cowes next Sunday.

The popular family fun event, hosted by the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, is the best way to get into the Christmas spirit as all money raised will help transform the lives of young people in recovery from cancer.

The Jingle Bells will be ringing as the 3km walk kicks off at 1.30pm on Sunday, December 9 from the Musto store on Cowes high street, with every Jingle Bell walker being kitted out in a blue Christmas hat and bells.

The walk is accessible to all so round up your family and friends for a Sunday stroll, soak up the wonderful atmosphere and enjoy some festive fresh air.

Seasonal songs, mulled wine and mince pies will welcome all the Jingle Bell walkers back at Musto, while there will also be a mince pie competition, so channel your inner star baker, bring along your homemade mincemeat treats and be in with the chance of winning some goodies as everyone tucks into the entries at the end of the walk.

Tickets are £5 for adults (advance) or £7.50 on the day, with under tens going free.

The price includes a blue Christmas hat and bells for every walker, mulled wine and mince pies at Musto, entry into mince pie competition and the guided walk.

The event ends at 3.45pm.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust supports young people aged eight to 24 to rebuild their confidence after cancer.

When treatment ends, the trust’s work begins as for many young people just picking up where they left off before their diagnosis isn’t possible.
