UPDATE: The road is now open.
A VOID in the road has led to the closure of Bignor Place in Newport.
The road is closed from its junction with Trafalgar Road to its junction with Terrace Road for a distance of 49 metres due to the void in the carriageway.
A diversion has been put in place and the road will be closed for a maximum of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
