Homes without power in Newport.
AN UNDERGROUND cable fault has caused about 38 properties to be without power this morning (Wednesday).
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have sent teams of engineers to work on the fault and the power is expected to be back my midday.
The postcodes thought to be affected are PO30 2BH, PO30 2DS, PO30 2JD, PO30 2JE, PO30 2JF, PO30 2JY, PO30 2LW and PO30 2PX.
A spokesperson from SSEN said: "We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience as our engineers work to restore their power as quickly and as safely as possible."
