THE WORLD's biggest Union flag has become the world's biggest cross of St George in honour of the football World Cup.

The hangar doors at Venture Quays, East Cowes, are usually adorned with the biggest permanent image of the red, white and blue flag, but it has been modified to support the England football team.

The doors are 12m (39ft) tall and 46m (151ft) wide, covering 550 square metres (5920 square feet).
