Isle of Wight Randonnee will hit the roads on Sunday

TAKE extra care on the roads on Sunday — it's the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee.
More than 2,000 cyclists are expected to take part, so there could be delays to car drivers on some routes.
The organiser has asked that people are extra patient for this one day in the year.
As usual, the ride will follow a signed route around the Island in a clockwise direction.
There are six checkpoints — Red Funnel car park in East Cowes, Kite Hill Campsite in Wootton Bridge, Bembridge Community Centre, Alverstone Village Hall, Ventnor Rugby Club, and Yarmouth Primary School.
It is not a race and participants can start from any of the checkpoints, so the entire route is expected to be busy for most of the day.
The crossing from Cowes to East Cowes will utilise the floating bridge, so people are advised to allow sufficient time with the increased demand for the service. 
Andy Newman of the Isle of Wight Randonnee team said: "We hope for another successful and safe year as we strive to ensure the community and local charities benefit from the event.
"We believe this to be one of the largest free-to-enter cycling events in the UK and is sustained purely by sponsors and voluntary donations from the participants."
