ON YOUR marks, get set, bake.

The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are dusting off their oven mitts and baking trays, ready for the Great Ambulance Bake Off.

The Bake Off, which takes place at the Isle of Wight College on Monday afternoon, will have paramedics pitted against nurses to see who will be crowned star baker - all while raising money for the UK coastguard.

Thirteen crew members, from emergency care practitioners to call handlers, are taking part in the Bake Off.

You can see all the contestants here and donate £5 and vote for your favourite here. The winning baker will win a prize and select someone at random who has voted for them to win a prize too. There are nine prizes in total for bakers and the public - all from local businesses, including the Three Buoys, Ryde, and Pin Ups of Newport.

See next Friday's County Press for full coverage of the Bake Off.
