Death Notice

Thomas Kennedy

Thomas Kennedy
Kennedy Thomas "Tom" It is with great sadness that I wish to inform you that, very suddenly, on Tuesday 7th November, Tom (Thomas) Kennedy (RN RCSP) passed away, at his home. Tom was a very well-respected physiotherapist on the Island for many years. His death has come as such a shock to me, (his brother), and so many people that Tom touched the lives of, either by treating them or just as friends that he had the pleasure to make. He was a larger-than-life character. I just want to say a massive thank you to his loyal patients over 35 plus years and to his friends for being there for him, to share his good and bad times. There is to be no official funeral service, as it is not what Tom would have wanted. There will, however, be a celebration of life event. These details are to be confirmed as and when I find out through William Hall funeral directors. If anyone would like to contact me to find out more details of his passing and pass on next regards, then please direct message me on Facebook. I will be more than happy to help. My Facebook profile is under Russ Nielsen Petres. Very Kindest regards to you all.

Tom, When I came to you on a day in 2007 with chronic sciatica I was full of trepidation. Your humour and skill quickly became apparent and we had many laughs whilst I was lying on your couch. You got me back on my feet, got me walking again and swimming and introduced me to a walking stick! You then moved on to my family who always had the greatest possible care with their various aches and pains. Your wise counsel to Ann was much appreciated when she had knee problems. Thanks Tom - you were a one off - highly competent with a great humour. RIP Bob and Ann.
