Has anyone ever heard of Mischievous Night? I hadn't until November 4 this year.

Apparently it is a night that gives our children permission to 'misbehave'.

I have a problem with this. Pranks played on the older members of our community could have very serious consequences.

An 86-year-old lady living alone nearly had a heart attack when eggs were thrown at her living room window. The following day she had to use a ladder to clean up the mess.

That 'bit of a laugh' for those children could have ended very badly.

Please parents, if you know your children are getting involved in things like this, ask them to throw the eggs at your windows and leave your communities in peace.

End of rant.
