With regard to the letter from Janet Appell, of Cowes (CP, 23-07-21).

I live on Cliff Road, Lake. This road joins two parts of the Cliff Path between Sandown and Shanklin, so is a very busy area for tourists.

I am disgusted with the state of the road, grass growing along the gutters and hedges which are hanging over the road by at least a couple of feet, with brambles sticking out even further, very dangerous for young children and dogs.

I don't know how our councils view the Island, definitely not as a tourist destination. It's time they started spending money on things needed.
