The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders


Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Blackbridge Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 25 April 2022 until 1830 hours on Friday 3 June 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Blackbridge Road, between its junctions with Afton Road and Easton Lane. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Brookside Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours Wednesday 27 April 2022 until 1830 hours on Friday 6 May 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Brookside Road, between its junctions with Moa Place and Queens Road. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Friday 22 April 2022 until 1830 hours on Friday 20 May 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Station Road, between its junctions with Mill Road and Victoria Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours on Monday 25 April 2022 for a period of 18 months, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along:
a) Ryde Esplanade (northern and southern carriageway), between its junctions with St Thomas’s Street and Dover Street;
b) St Thomas Street between its junctions with Esplanade and St Thomas’ Street car park entrance/exit
c) Pier Access Road between its junctions with Esplanade and Ryde Pier;
d) Quay Road between its junctions with Esplanade and 30 metres north thereof;
e) Nelson Place between its junctions with Esplanade and Castle Street;
f) George Street between its junctions with Esplanade and Castle Street;
These will be phased works and the restrictions may occur on more than one occasion and for varying durations. The exact dates will be signposted locally. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Ryde Transport Interchange works. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours on Monday 25 April 2022 for a period of 18 months, or when the works has been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced along:
a) St Thomas’ Street between its junctions with Esplanade and Lower Car Park entrance, in a westbound direction;
b) Esplanade (northern carriageway), between St Thomas Street and Dover Street, in a westerly direction;
c) Esplanade (southern carriageway), between St Thomas Street and Dover Street, in an easterly direction;
d) Melville Street between Dover Street and George Street, in a westerly direction.
These will be phased works and the restrictions may occur on more than one occasion and for varying durations. The exact dates will be signposted locally. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Ryde Transport Interchange works. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours on Monday 25 April 2022 for a period of 18 months, or when the works has been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked in a) George Street between its junctions with Esplanade and Cross Street and b) Nelson Lane between its junction with Esplanade and Castle Street. These will be phased works and the restrictions may occur on more than one occasion and for varying durations. The exact dates will be signposted locally. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Ryde Transport Interchange works. 
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 2100 hours until 0600 hours, each night, on Monday 25 April 2022 until Wednesday 27 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along a) Walkers Lane for its entire length; b) Limerstone Road between its junctions with Walkers Lane and Yafford Mill – Access Road, Brighstone. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours until 1600 hours, for one day, from Monday 25 April 2022 until Wednesday 27 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pallance Lane between its junctions with Pallance Road and Wyatts Lane. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 22 April 2022 and Friday 03 June 2022 the following roads will be closed for days, nights, or both day and night for a period of approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of road reconstruction and upgrades to be completed.  No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:
