Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1884, proposes to make the following

The Isle of Wight Council (Bath Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours Tuesday 19 April 2022 until 1700 hours on Thursday 21 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bath Road between its junctions with Bars Hill and The Parade. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 15 April 2022 and Friday 27 May 2022 the following roads will be closed for days, nights, or both day and night for a period of approximately five to ten days, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction and resurfacing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
