THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL
(VARIOUS STREETS, NORTHWOOD) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER NO 1 2022

Notice Is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council In exercise of their powers under section 1 (1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended ('the Act' of 19841 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with The Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to:
1. To revoke the provisions of The Isle of Wight Council (Various Street, Northwood) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2017' and
2. To consolidate the following orders within this order;
a) The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Northwood) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2020.
b) The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Noithwood) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2021.
3) To re-enact the provisions contained therein subject to the following amendments:
a) To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' in the following lengths of road:
Somerton Industrial Park, on the north-west side, from its junction with Saunders Drive to a point 12 metres north-east thereof.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the south-east side, from its junction with Saunders Drive to a point 5 metres north-east thereof.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the northwest side, from a point 19.5 metres north-east to a point 34.5 metres north-east of its junction with Saunders Drive.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the south-east side, from a point 20.5 metres north-east of its junction with Saunders Drive to a point 50 metres north of its junction with Mariners Way.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the east side, from a point 55 metres north to a point 64 metres north of its junction with Mariners Way.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the east side, from its junction with Mariners Way to a point 14.5 metres north thereof.
Somerton Industrial Park, on the west side, from its junction with Mariners Way to a point 14.5 metres north thereof.
Mariners Way, on the north side, from a point 13.5 metres east to a point 1 metres west of its junction with Somerton Industrial Park.
The amendments are being proposed to facilitate the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians) andtor avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
This Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on 18 March 2022. Any person who desires to question the validity of any of the said orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the said Act, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this order may, within six weeks of the date hereof, apply to the High Court for the purpose.
