NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 13 OF APPLICA- TION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION

Proposed development at  Norris Castle Estate and Springhill Estate, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO32 6AZ
Take notice that application is being made by Now Planning Ltd on behalf of Norris Castle Estate (Group) Ltd forplanning permission to
Hybrid Planning Application comprising:
1) Detailed and Listed Building Consent Application for (a) the restoration and conversion of the Grade I Norris Castle to a luxury hotel (C1); (b) the construction of two linked buildings to accommodate hotel services, amenities, swimming pool and additional hotel suites (sui generis); (c) the restoration and conversion of the Grade I Norris Castle Farm, bailiff's house, cottage and walled kitchen garden to a spa and wellness centre to provide spa residences, treatment rooms and associated retail, restaurant and café facilities in the existing buildings and the construction of further spa residences within the walled kitchen garden (sui generis); (d) the restoration, conversion and extension of the Grade II cattle shelters to provide a resort residence (sui generis) and a gatehouse and security building for the resort (E(g)(i)); (e) the consolidation of the Grade II Bathing House ruin and the construction of an associated restaurant building (E(b)); (f) the construction of four sentinel buildings on the seawall with resort apartments (sui generis); (g) the construction of resort residences (sui generis), a boathouse and slipway at the original harbourside; (h) the construction of resort residences (sui generis) within the Norris Castle Estate walls; (i) the restoration and conversion of the Grade II Pump House to a clubhouse (E(f)); (j) the restoration of the Grade II listed seawall and the repair of the remaining seawall and works to stabilise the Estate land; (k) the repair and restoration of the four Grade II stone watering ponds; (l) the restoration of the Grade I Park and Garden to include the preservation of the grotto and man-made ponds; (m) the demolition of the Modern Barn; (n) the change of use the remaining barn for resort storage; (o) the creation of a new resort access road on land within the Springhill Estate and the demolition of a section of the Norris Castle Estate boundary wall to allow for a new entrance to the resort; (p) parking areas, ancillary services, utilities, drainage works, SUDS and substations for the resort; and (q) outside the Norris Castle Estate boundary wall the construction of dwellings in the South West Field (C3); and
2) Outline Application on land within the Springhill Estate for (a) up to 55 units for a senior living scheme with associated communal facilities (C2) at Parcel P1; (b) dwellings (C3) and a resort overflow car park at Parcel P2; (c) dwellings (C3) at Parcel P3; (d) dwellings (C3) at Springhill Farm at Parcel P4 to include the retention and conversion of existing buildings and (d) associated drainage, services, utilities and SUDS and the restoration of the Springhill Estate landscape (for the defined parcels, the siting, extent, use, maximum heights of buildings and means of access only to be considered)
Applications submitted to Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, High Street, Newport PO30 1UD. Any owner of the land or tenant who wishes to make representations about this applpication should write to the council within 21 days of this notice.
