London Road (B2200) Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Loading and Unloading Order 2021
Surrey County Council Propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to - (a) prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of London Road (B2200) Ewell as extends from its junction with (D2292) Mill Road to a point approximately 65 metres south-westwards along (B2200) London Road; and (b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council (Various Roads In Epsom And Ewell) (Revocation And Consolidation Of Waiting, Loading And Unloading Prohibition And Restriction) Order 2018" as amended, and only in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in part (a) above. The Order is required to facilitate telecoms utilities works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 04 October 2021. The temporary restriction and suspension, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
D2294 Milbum Walk, Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2294 Milbum Walk, Epsom that extends from its junction with B289 Downs Road eastbound for a distance of 45 metres (to the point where the east/west extent of Milburn Walk meets the north/south extent of Milbum Walk). This Traffic Order is required to enable SGN to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 6 months of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 October 2021. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route:- Milburn Walk, Treadwell Road and Downs Road.
