The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders


Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -
The Isle of Wight Council (Avenue Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Thursday 29 July 2021 until 2359 hours on Wednesday 04 August 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Avenue Road between its junctions with Fort Mews and North Street. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Cross Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, from Wednesday 28 July 2021 until Friday 30 July 2021, or when the works has been completed, a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Newport Street between its junctions with Station Street and West Street; b) the one-way restriction will be revoked along Newport Street between its junctions with Station Street and West Street. The Isle of Wight Council (Simeon Street Recreation Ground, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2021
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours on Friday 23 July 2021 for a period of eighteen months, the entire area known as ‘Simeon Street Recreation Ground’ will become a Pay & Display location with the following charges; up to 5 Hours - £5; 5 to 12 hours - £10.  The traffic regulation is required whilst Southern Water works are being undertaken along Canoe Lake Road & North Walk, Ryde and to mitigate the ability to provide parking in the area.


Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours and 1800 hours on approximately five to ten days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 23 July 2021 and Saturday 04 September 2021. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
