The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders



Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -


The Isle of Wight Council (Albion Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way) Order No 1 2021


Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours from Thursday 27 May 2021 until 1830 hours on Tuesday 08 June 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Albion Road, for its entire length and the one-way will be revoked for its entire length. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.


The Isle of Wight Council (Alverstone Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2021


Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours until 1600 hours on Friday 21 May 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Alverstone Road, between its junctions with Whippingham Road and Mount Road. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from a) 0800 hours from Monday 24 May 2021 until 2000 hours on Friday 04 June 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Churchill Close for its entire length; b) 0800 hours from Monday 24 May 2021 until 2000 hours on Friday 04 June 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lamorbey Terrace, between its junctions with Churchill Close and Porter Avenue. The Isle of Wight Council (Fitzroy Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way) Order No 1 2021

The Isle of Wight Council (Heatherwood Park Road, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours until 1530 hours, or 1930 hours until 2300 hours, for one day from Monday 24 May 2021 until Tuesday 25 May 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Morton Old Road, between its junctions with Roman Villa Road and Morton Manor Road. The Isle of Wight Council (Sandrock Road, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021

The Isle of Wight Council (Alverstone Road, Newchurch, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2021

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, from Wednesday 26 May 2021 until Friday 28 May 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Alverstone Road between its junctions with Skinners Lane and Borthwood Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (Bedbury Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021

The Isle of Wight Council (St Edmunds Path, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 2 2021


Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours and 2300 hours, for one day, from Wednesday 26 May 2021 and Friday 28 May 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall proceed along St Edmunds Path, for its entire length. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during footpath repairs.



Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 21 May 2021 and Friday 02 July 2021 the following restrictions will be in place for both day and night for a period of approximately six weeks, or when the works have been completed, for safety during footway re-surfacing works. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:




The Isle of Wight Council (Alfred Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions Order No 2 2021 – Alfred Street, for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during footway re-surfacing works.



Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 21 May 2021 and Friday 02 July 2021 the following restrictions will be in place for both day and night for a period of approximately four weeks, or when the works have been completed, for safety during carriageway reconstruction works. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.
