Harrow Council Proposals to combine Stag Lane Infant and

Proposals to combine Stag Lane Infant and

Nursery School and Stag Lane Junior School from 1 April 2020

The proposals will have the effect of combining Stag Lane Infant and Nursery School and Stag Lane Junior School in order to provide a combined primary school serving the area currently served by the schools and retaining both existing sites in use. No pupils will be displaced and all the pupils attending the schools at the time of implementation would transfer to the combined school.

Part 1 Stag Lane Junior



Notice is given in accordance with section 15(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Harrow Council, Civic Centre, PO Box 22, Station Road, Harrow, HA1 2XY intends to discontinue Stag Lane Junior School, Collier Drive, Edgware, HA8 5RU on 31 March 2020.

Part 2 Stag Lane Infant and Nursery School



Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Harrow Council, Civic Centre, PO Box 22, Station Road, Harrow, HA1 2XY intends to make the following two prescribed alterations to Stag Lane Infant and Nursery School, Collier Drive, Edgware, HA8 5RU from 1 April 2020.

? To extend the age range of Stag Lane Infant and Nursery School to establish a school with an age range of 4 years (Reception) to 11 years (Year 6) plus nursery.



? To expand the capacity of Stag Lane Infant and Nursery School.



The increase to the capacity is to accommodate the pupils attending Stag Lane Junior School. Pupil numbers for the junior school are currently 385 and for the infant school are 348. The proposal is to expand the capacity of the infant school to accommodate 840 pupils plus nursery. This will be a combined primary school with four forms of entry.
