ROUSE Stanley Stanley passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight on Friday, 16th August, 2019 in his 91st year. He will be deeply missed by his dear friend Ruby Cooper, his children Ann Kubica (Kenneth), Michael (Sandra), Carol St-Amour (Wayne), Frederick (Constance), Tina, and grand children Bonnie, Alyson, Jeffrey, Matthew, Candace, Amanda and James, and great-grandchildren Rosa, Vincent, Adam, Faith, Michael and Haylee as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Malvern area of Worcestershire and many friends in England and Canada. Stanley was predeceased by his wives Hazel (Boreham) and Rosemary (Carr-Southwell). Stanley was born and grew up in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England, lived for a number of years in Canada and has resided in Seaview and Shanklin, Isle of Wight for the past 25 years. He was a former printer, baker, police officer, salesman, interior designer, factory supervisor and bookshop owner. He is remembered for his love of amateur theatre as a writer of one act plays, an award winning set designer and as an actor. He is known for prolific poetry writing and story writing including his 2001 novel "Nipped in the Bud". Stanley loved to entertain family, and Isle of Wight Tile House and Blind Society friends, telling jokes and singing; except when he was engaged with his favourite snooker championships on television. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on 19th October 2019 at Shanklin United Reformed Church, High Street, Shanklin IOW. All who knew Stanley are welcome. At Stanley's request, a private family gathering will also take place in Malvern. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Age UK.
