"This is the biggest crowd we have seen all year. This is unreal!"

A happy Nile Rodgers and CHIC couldn't believe the size of the Isle of Wight Festival crowd when they played on Friday.

Although Nile recently appeared with Duran Duran at the Buckingham Palace Jubilee party, he said the festival crowd was his biggest yet for CHIC for 2022.

Fans were there to hear all the hits and they weren't disappointed.

Le Freak, Good Times and Get Lucky were all on the setlist.

Of course, Nile is well known for having written, produced or composed some of pop's biggest hits, so he treated us to a few of those too.

He had the crowd jumping to Madonna's Like a Virgin, Duran Duran's Notorious, and David Bowie's Modern Love and Let's Dance.

He also spoke of how happy he was to be cancer free: "It feels like I'm the luckiest man in the world. I'm a two times cancer survivor. I'm now cancer free, I'm a lucky man indeed," he said, to great cheers.
