QUARR Abbey will host a mystical exhibition starting this week, with an array of creative features provided by Island collective The Crafty Artists.
Pat Cornwell has been involved with the group for several years, becoming synonymous in local art circles with an eye-catching brand of chicken wire fairies, boats, mermaids, and, more recently, plasma cut hares.
Pat has been creating her fairies for over 30 years, previously displaying them in her cottage garden during the National Gardens Scheme Open Days in West Sussex, before relocating to the Isle of Wight, which she credits as the inspiration for her boats and mermaids.
Pat’s fairies have been featured in Which? and The English Garden magazine.
The gallery will be open from today (Thursday) until Tuesday September 15, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
