Firefighters were called out to tackle a car fire in Newport last night.
A CAR fire in Newport last night (Thursday), resulted in a midnight call-out for firefighters.
A crew from Newport Fire Station were called out just after midnight to Garden Way.
The fire was tackled with one hose reel jet and the vehicle was made safe.
Police were informed of the vehicle fire.
The fire did not spread further than the vehicle itself, a spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said.
